Why I write

I've wanted to blog for a long time but I just didn't know what to blog. Of course all my ideas and thoughts I want to share come to me when I am trying to go to sleep and the next morning when I try to recall it, there is nothing. A cleaner white slate than my mind I couldn't find!!

After a lot of frustration, I just decided to write on some of the things that were valuable to me. I almost didn't continue were it not for my older son. He saw me post a blog and he asked to read it. I was so flattered and thrilled that my son actually wanted to read what I wrote. Yesterday, he was lying on the sofa saying he wasn't feeling too good, he asked me if he could read my blog. I am, as you can guess, in the proverbial seventh heaven. My child actually wants to read what I write.

Now I am inspired to write so when he wants to read, I have something to share. Things that seem to go in one ear and come out of the next, I hope will stick as he reads it here.

So my blog is my way of sharing with my child my thoughts and values. I hope they will remember these things that I write and apply it in their lives.

I also wanted to share thoughts so I could inspire others to speak up in this world that is trying to be so politically correct that we no longer know where to draw a line. That is true for me too but I hope people will share their thoughts with me so I can learn too.
